This is the oldest and biggest tree on our land. It's 5 metres in circumference, which makes it about 250 years old. When it sprung to life in the 1700s, Poland was a free and independent country and the land of this region was settled by Dutch and German protestants in self-governing communities known now as Olęder settlements. The old wooden house of Silna Nowa 2 is typical of an Olęder settlement.
